The Refiner's Fire
By Abraxan
Oooh, I can't remember much of what happens from here on out! Well, aside from the major things. As you can probably tell from my copious amounts of reviews, I've been enjoying it, but there's nothing like a nice surprise while reading. I can't wait to find out who's behind the poisonings and other miscellaneous assassination attempts. I have a vague idea, but I could be confused with another (far less brilliant) fanfic. Hooray for uncertainty!
Hooray for uncertainty indeed! I'm glad you're enjoying the story! I'm enjoying your reviews!

Poor Harry but that was really very clever.
Thanks!

Just wanted to let you know that I've liked your story so far... You are a good writer, maybe not the most original story, but it's good.... I will continue to read:)

There's no such thing as an "original" story - there are only twelve basic plots for stories, and Shakespeare wrote them all. And fantasies all fall into about five categories. Harry's story is a "hero quest" type of story (as defined by Joseph Campbell years ago) and follows that type of format. And I don't know why I'm bothering to explain this to you. I hope you enjoy the rest of the story.

fantabulous. sorry 'bout the spoilers. won't happen again, and in case people read them... OBLIVIATE!!! There, all fixed.
I'm looking forwaed to see who the 'assassin' is. It's not Draco, he's too impetuous and woud rather maim or kill Harry all by himself.

Okay, I rereading this for like the billionth time. Ginny gives a password of "cat in jumper" in this chapter. I thought the incident that was referring to (the Easter break trip) hadn't happened yet. Is this referring to something else I'm forgetting?
Thanks
(BTW, love the story!!)
It refers to the time (in CoS, I think) when Ginny comes downstairs at the Burrow and asks her mum where her jumper is, and her mum says it's on the cat. It was shown in the CoS film.
