Dear Tonks. She's doing everything a mother does for a frightened child after a nightmare, only this child is a man. A scared little boy still lives inside this strong powerful young man, though, doesn't he? *sob*

A scared little boy still lives inside a LOT of strong,powerful men - they just keep those precious boys hidden most of the time.   And yes, Tonks is being as good a mother as she can to Harry - and heaven knows, he needs it!!

As for the tank of water - handy to be able to conjure things, isn't it?

I'm so glad you have given Harry Tonks and Remus to help him. They are wonderful parents and now Harry can finally get the love he's deserved all his life. By the way, I loved the wizard's lullaby.

Thank you!   I'll tell my beta Alexander what you said about the lullaby.   He insisted I actually write one, rather than saying Tonks sang one.   And yes, I think it's important that Harry have a family of his own, not just the Weasleys.   Remus and Tonks are taking really good care of him.   :)   Thanks for writing!

Awesome two chapters Abraxan! I'm glad that Tonks is mothering Harry... He really needs it and he was denied it for so long... He's got a mother, a father, and a brother, which is awesome for him. They, along with Ginny, Ron, and Hermione, will all help him through his memories of the fights and the war. Great job!

Poor Harry. so many horrible memories that can attack him in his sleep. Thank goodness Tonks heard him or he would have died. That was a nice touch of Tonks singing him to sleep with a wizard lullaby. Thanks for writing. I am really enjoying this story. pms

That was a sweet moment to say the least, and looks like Tonks has a older son and a little one too with this chapter. Too bad that Molly was never really allowed in canon to be like this for Harry, as he only ever seemed to see the over-protective Mum, not the kind that'd sing him a lullaby. Going to be interesting to see how things continue to play out from here.

Well, Molly (in canon) TRIED to mother him this way - remember the hug she gave him in the hospital wing at the end of GoF?   But Tonks is going to have the chance Molly never really had, to give Harry at least a taste of a normal childhood even if he's an adult now.   He soaks up affection like a sponge, and Tonks is a warm-hearted woman with a lot of love to share.   She's going to be very good for him in her godmother role.   Glad you enjoyed the chapter!

If I could have ONE magical power, it would be to be able to do a gill transformation so I could swim safely wherever I wanted.   This is the one time that ability wasn't a cool thing for Harry!   Glad you enjoyed them!
