This is a really good day of their honeymoon. I love the sea and whales. I really liked this image you planted in my mind. Of course even on his honeymoon Harry couldn't get away from his "saving people" or in this case people and whales from harm. It was great the way he did it. His answer even was believable to a muggle! Very well done. The snorkeling was very well described. What a great day for them even with a little sunburn. Thanks so much for this great addition to your story. pms

Abraxan replied:

Thanks a lot!!   Yeah, Harry had to do some fast thinking to figure out a way to cover up what he did - at least Muggles will accept someone being psychic!   Well, some Muggles will, anyway.   LOL!   Glad you enjoyed it!

Hi,What a lovely chapter. I especially liked the descriptions of the whales. One summer I had the opportunity to watch the whales off the Southern California coast and I really enjoyed watching them just like your descriptions. I have never been able to snorkel like that but for a long time I was able to dive and I liked your descriptions of that as well.

I went whale watching in 2004. One of the best days I ever spent! It was a lot colder of course!

Great heart-warming chappie....

In addition, as to bookaholic_au's comment regarding nomenclature, it depends on the tradition of the group operating the ship as to what a vessel is called. For example, submarines, some of which are over 700 feet (215 meters) long, are commonly referred to as boats, while some vessels which are smaller than that are classified as ships, mainly by their respective crews. Interestingly, one of the worlds largest producers of catamarans which most people would classify as ships is Australia.

Abraxan replied:

Thank you very much for adding to this commentary.   I used to work for the Navy, and the office I was in for a while dealt with submarines, so I do know they're called "boats."   I didn't know that about the catamarans in Australia - that's interesting!   Thanks for the info!

The whale scene was really good, although it would have been fun if the Whale nudged the boat a bit too. I also like this Hawaii trip... its a good break from the tension from before. Keep it up.

Abraxan replied:

Uh ,. . . no.   Have you ever seen a whale in person?   They're HUGE!   If it nudged the boat, the boat might capsize or the hull might be damanged.    All those landlubbers would be thrown into the sea, and some of them would drown.   Not a good idea, IMO!   Glad you liked it!

Ship = BIG boat (ocean liner, container ship)
Boat = ferry or other large motorboat
Yatch = sailboat that is stored in the water
Trailer boat = sailboat stored on a large trailor
Dingy = sailboat small enough to be lifted if you have enough people, stored on a small trailer

Please get your terminology right. A ship cannot be a catamaran. I'm absolutely obssessed with boats, and an error like this might be compared to me mistaking an throuoghbred for a pony.

Other than that, nice chapter.

Abraxan replied:

By your definitions, a tiny one or two-person sailboat like a   Sunfish that was stored on the water (it might not be what you'd do, but some people who lived  by a lake and used it a lot  might do it) would be a "yacht" and it simply isn't.   I'm not a boat nut but I did work for the Navy and learned about "boats" vs. "ships" - I was writing this from HARRY'S POINT OF VIEW and  HE knows nothing about boats - so he'd call them whatever he felt like at the time, just like any other "landlubber."   :)

Glad you enjoyed it.

Nice chapter Abraxan. A little psychic, eh? I'm glad he got the boat out of danger though. That's definitely a good thing. Great job, keep up the good work!

Abraxan replied:

"A little psychic" sounds more acceptable to   Muggles than "I'm a wizard" would!   LOL!   Glad you enjoyed it!

*chuckle* A nice touch, the bit with the whale; 'twould appear that Harry is, by his strong magical nature, a lot more sensitive to things like that than most, even most other wizards, would be. 'Tis a most delightful and enjoyable chapter.

Abraxan replied:

Well spotted!!   And you're the only one to pick up on that so far!   Glad you enjoyed the chapter!

Another warm chapter, and got to say, when things go right, whale watching is one of the funnest things to do, imo, that along with watching the Manatee's in Florida waters also. Glad to see that things went well here, and looking forward to what happens next time with Harry and Ginny's time there(maybe visit Dole plantation? Pearl Harbor?)

Abraxan replied:

The Dole plantation on Lanai is closed - or was when we were there last year.   Pearl Harbor is on Oahu, and they aren't going there.   But they do have other adventures waiting.   Keep reading!   Thanks for the nice review!

Very cute. It was nice to see a little bit of action even if it was minor. I really like the universe that you've created here. Thanks for the update!

Abraxan replied:

Glad you liked it!   And I never said THIS story was an action/adventure type of thing - it's a drama and romance.   The war is over - Harry has to heal in his soul now that his body's healed.   That's the main thrust of this story.   Glad you enjoyed what action there was!

EEK attack of the whales

nice chapter but im starting to get worried to be honest to much good been happening when is the nuclear bomb going to hit and blow it all to hell? Not saying i want that but this IS harry so somethign has to go wrong

Abraxan replied:

They nearly got overturned by whales and you think nothing's going wrong???   LOL!   Harry's just better at avoiding disaster than he used to be, particularly since he has a wife to protect (whether she actually needs it or not, LOL!)
