ooooh that evil woman!!! oh how i love to hate rita skeeter. she's going to ruin EVERYTHING!!! oh, and i really like casey. since i know (teehee) that harry will end up with ginny in the end, i am going to allow her to date harry. she's a kajillion times better than stupid cho...(even though her actress had a fab scottish accent in the movie...)

Oh goodness, this is really cute. Ok, brace yourself for the inverse of the one girl who says 'I miss Casey' in all of her reviews for the sequel. I'm going to be constantly comparing this to it! It's really good, but Harry seems so much younger. Hm...of course this could be attributed to a)I imagine he feels like a child at the Dursleys b)He's experiencing a lot of new things for the summer and c)He still has a lot to go through

So I've finished the second story (what's finished of it) and now I'm reading the first. It's like watching star wars! except the new movies suck, and this most definitely doesn't. yay for harry getting a little respect, some food, some decent clothing, and most importantly, a little bit of payback. stupid freakin' dursleys.

*sigh* I was afraid that was going to happen since on your group I saw that the end ship was Harry/Ginny. Personally, I'm not really in favor of Ginny in this fic. Too bad about Casey =(

I really, and I mean REALLY love your story so far. I was going to wait until I had finished reading it to comment since you were already done writing it, but I found a mistake in this chapter that I thought you would like to know. If harry had ruptured his stomach, like you said he dlid, than an infection would be the least of his worries. When someone's stomach is ruptured in some way, by say a bullet, or in this case a speel, then the stomach acids residing in the stomach are let loose into the bloodstream. The end result would be death within 15 minutes of the time the wound was acquired. It's one of the reason why gunshot wounds in the stomach are just as serious as those to the head. Even if Harry is as powerful as he is in this story, he would have died from that wound. Sorry, I'm a pre-med student so that was annoying me like a fly that just won't go away. Your story is really amazing though, and I can't wait to read the rest and the sequel.

Hi Abraxan. I like this first chapter, but it does seem that Harry is much much younger than 15 - he seemed to me to be very bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. His reactions to getting clothes and money seem a bit off since he has had the experience of buying clothes for school and having money in his name. Still a good chappie though.

I just started reading the story and I hope I'll be able to go on. I've been having a lot of trouble logging into the mature readings even though I am a grandmother of four. :)

Anyway, i loved this first chapter. I have found a great variety of outstanding writers in this hope and I am THRILLED... This may help to fill the void until the last installment of the series.

Great Jog! Thanks for sharing.

Another nice interim piece. I could feek the love each pair felt for their partners and their Joie de Vie. Excellent writing. (But I still like Casey)

Nice interim piece and I liked Harry's explanation to Hermione about Animagus Transformation. You haven't followed up on the possibility that Harry might be an Metamorphmagus, as was mentioned earlier in the story.

I am very glad that Lucius finally got his due. The Elder Crabbe and Goyle shoul have a nice time back in Azkaban. Hermione is better an Harry got hurt again. Still looking forward to how you're going to conclude this saga.

The end is nearing. Minister Bones has once again proved her worth (even if she entered this chapter sounding like Fudge). Umbridge got her due )well some of it). Harry's almost better. Elegy is most oft used for a speech and dirge for music. Moth are in honor of the deceased.

Don't you dare let Harry die; I'd really hate to have to hex you.

It looks like the climax of this story is soon approaching. I am reading the next few chapters with rapt anticipation.

I'm glad Harry and Ginny got back together (but I still like Casey), (Bit of a broken record there, aren't I?)

I spent 26 years in the military, a period that stretched from Viet Nam to th Persian Gulf and beyond. There is an old saying that is as true today as it was whwn it was first spoken, War is Hell. It is a very personal experience and the reception that 'soldiers' receive is very similar to what you've described; some praise you and some revile you an neither group understand that you did what needed to be done at the time and you pray every day that noone ele will ever have to go through waht you did. Mostly you'd like to forget, but you never can. You did a masterful job with Harry's feelings.

I'm glad that Grimauld Place is getting a facelift. It's been a gloomy place for far too long. Molly is still being over protective I see. Her 'mommy genes' won't let her be otherwise. All moms have a real reluctance to see all their children grow up. It usually takes grandchildren to distract them. :-) Harry's attitude seems to be improving some as well. Good job (but I still like Casey.)

Hope they make it back without any more problems.

I/m not a Brit, but I,m related to a bunch of Scots. Anyway, Harry's still got a whole mountain of psychological problems and a long way to go to get them resolved. Damn I wish that boy some great luck, 'cause wishes of good luck just ain't doing the job.
