Why was Casey killed off?
I would liked to have sean Casey and Harry be together.
Abraxan replied:
So would a lot of people, but I created her in order to kill her off and trigger an illness in Harry you'll read about soon. She was supposed to be his "first love" and she did a good job of it. So many people were upset by her death that I've resurrected her in my original novel, "Star Sons - Dawn of the Two" which is now available on Amazon.com.
And Casey may be gone, but she's not forgotten. She will be remembered late in both this story and "The Time of Destiny." Enjoy!

this story was magnificent!!!!! i couldn't stop reading it. i carried my laptop around the house for two days, driving my husband crazy. i just wanted to tell you how much i enjoyed it and can't wait to read the next one. i'll be recommending this story to everyone i know who reads fanfiction. thanks for sharing your amazing talent with the world!!!!
Abraxan replied:
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed it, and that you're recommending it to your friends! Thanks for writing!
I don't know if you're aware of this or not, but I have an original fantasy novel that's now available on Amazon.com. Go there and search for "Lynda Sappington" and you'll see "Star Sons - Dawn of the Two" - that's it. It's available for pre-order now, in case you're interested!

I've really enjoyed this story so far, good job! I just thought I'd point out that 'stroppy' actually means the exact opposite of feisty, or at least, it means someone difficult to deal with, and annoying, and generally someone who complains a lot, which is not, I think, what you meant! Just a nitpick :)
Abraxan replied:
I'm American, not British, and my British Brit-picker said that was the word to use intstead of "feisty," which she said is rarely used there. I'm not changing the published stories - they've been up for years - but I do use "stroppy" correctly now. Glad you're enjoying the story!

Awww! You shouldn't have killed Casey! I know it's Harry / Ginny story, but I was just getting into preferring Casey over Ginny.
Abraxan replied:
If it's a Harry/Ginny story, Casey has to leave at some point! And she may be gone, but she's certainly not forgotten. She's remembered here and there in both Refiner's and Time of Destiny. And she got such strong reader response that I've included her in my original novels (slightly different appearance, etc., but still with Casey's sweet personality). Thanks for writing!

One small thing I noticed was your use of the term sweaters. I alway thought they were called jumpers across the pond :-)
Abraxan replied:
Well, if there's one there, it's the one my Brit-picker and I missed. Not that I'm going to change it now. This story was published years ago and I'm not changing anything. I hope you're enjoying it.

even though it was still a shitty way to kill caey, it's a good story

I did it because it's important to the story. And consider this your warning. If you ever use profane or abusive language again, I'll ban you from my site.

An absolute treasure. Those a last few lines are some of my favourites from the whole story, and that's saying something, considering the overall quality of it.
Abraxan replied:
Thank you so much! What a lovely thing to say! I hope you will enjoy the rest of my stories as well - "The Time of Destiny" is the sequel to "Refiners" and there are several ficlets that fit into the time gap between the end of "Destiny" and its epilogue. I'm also going to start uploading a new "gap fic" titled "Now and Forever" in a week or two, so watch for it! And I have an original novel, "Star Sons: Dawn of the Two" that will be available on Amazon.com soon!
Thanks again for your lovely review!Abraxan

THANKS!
Great story
*catchbreath*
Everything here was fine, I think you really outlined JKR with a "nearly super" Harry, and you can definitly compare yourself to every bit fanfic outside here.
Ohw, to be honest, JKR is a lot worse than you!
I would really like to write about what I liked and not liked, but, um, there's nothing ;-)
So, thanks, thanks, thanks!
Abraxan replied:
Thanks a lot!! If you like my writing that well, you may be interested in my original novel, "Star Sons: Dawn of the Two" which will be published soon! Watch for a new HP story, "Now and Forever" (which is set after the stuff in "Time of Destiny" and before the Epilogue - the timeline goes: Destiny, A Fox's Tale, Beginnings, Now and Forever) to start uploading soon. Ordering info for "Star Sons" will be included with each chapter of "Now and Forever" - and if you've signed up for alerts for my stories, you'll probably get an alert for "Star Sons," too.
Thanks for writing! I always enjoy hearing from happy readers!

Woah, this is great!
Can't believe it is your first one!
Nice start, with that innocent harry.
Quite a relieve after to many powerboy-Harry fics :)
Thanks!
Abraxan replied:
Thanks a lot! It's my first HP fic, and my first fiction in about 15 years. I've written LOTS since I wrote "Refiners," so you have a lot of fun reading ahead of you! I hope you enjoy it!
