The part with the Dursleys was a quiet delight. It was brilliant to use a Quidditch match to bring them together.
This was incredibly heartwarming. A sheer pleasure to read.
Abraxan replied:
"A quiet delight"?? What a nice thing to say! Thanks! Yes, I've always thought getting people who didn't get along so well together for a meal or an "event" like this was a good way to start to build bridges (and I've seen such tactics work in real life, too!). Glad you liked it! Thanks for writing!

Excellent. I am so glad Harry is going to teach at Hogwarts. I can see him having problems with the "History Books" Hermione wrote but that is life. I am looking forward to the next epilog. Thanks for writing.

Thanks a lot! Yes, Harry has shown in canon and my fics as well that he's an excellent teacher. I can see him enjoying working at Hogwarts, especially since he considers it "home." And yes, he WOULD have trouble with those books, but better Hermione than someone else writing them, right? Even Harry can see that. Glad you enjoyed it!

Awww . . . I like this Epilogue. It's the nice, quiet easy ending to a story filled with excitement. You know, the chances of that many twins to the same family so close is very very very slim. But I like it anyway ;)
Abraxan replied:
Hey, this is fantasy!!! And the twin gene is VERY strong in these two couples, since both parents are twins. I've seen TV stories about this very thing happening. Glad you're enjoying the epilog! Don't get too comfortable though - there's still a bit of adventure to come! Thanks for writing!

"So far"??? There's one chapter left of the epilogue - I'm nearly finished with it! Glad you've enjoyed it "so far"! :-)

Good job on the overall chapter. You even managed to go without a real hospital visit! I'm discounting Ginny giving birth to her sons, because in that case it is actually an obligatory visit. Besides, as pregnancies (especially twins) go, it was pretty benign. So I really have no complaints about that issue in this chapter! ^_^
I hope the oldest two kids are not going by the names of Jamie and Siri with everyone they meet. You have to think of them eventually being adults as well. Their names permanently being the shortened, pet-name versions would be very cruel. I would certainly object, and if those two boys are anything at all like the two persons they are named after, they WILL object, once they're old enough.
The whole idea of Hermione as author of the books was fun. Not terribly witty, but at least somewhat original. The wizarding world does need history books of the events, and better Hermione do the job than someone who doesn't know half the facts. I do share Harry's horror at the thought of being portrayed as 'Hal Pipping' though! :D
The thought of Dumbledore getting up to pranks is a fun one, too!
Now to wait for the last epilogue chapter!

Abraxan replied:
I've just read an article somewhere on comparisons between Brits and Americans -- in England "Jamie" IS a MAN'S name! And "Siri" is the natural diminuative of "Sirius." Just as my daughter was "Jenny" growing up, she's "Jen" or "Jennifer" in her professional life now that she's an adult. Jamie and Siri can go by their full names if they want to. Sheesh, that's such a minor thing to pick on. You're really LOOKING for something to gripe at me about, aren't you????? As a Brit, Jamie won't object to his name. And yes, if someone has to write the history books about Harry, it should be Hermione. I kept finding places in RF and ToD where Hermione did the articles on what happened so they'd be accurate. She just sort of "evolved" into Harry's biographer. And yes, "Hal Pipping" was particularly mean of me to do to poor Harry, LOL! She'll change it in the published version, don't worry.
Glad some of it met with your approval, anyway.

> "...babies soon followed, twin boys in both

> said with obvious pride.
So much for your supposed realism, eh? *snorts in amusement* I doubt that even a genetic disposition towards conceiving twins would make this likely. They all seem to be identical twins as well. The only reason I don't snort at their four babies all being readheaded is the fact that the Weasley Twins both married redheads. ;) You do seem to remember basic genetics though, as Harry's boys are black-haired. Good for you! :)
It surprised me to see Petunia changed into an enthusiastic Quidditch fan. The change seems very sudden, as we don't get to look into her head for a long time. However, even at my age, I know from experience that life has a way of making you fond of people you don't see for a long time, no matter how much you disliked them initially. In my first two or three years at secondary school, I was regularly bullied by two other boys. One of them dropped out after two years, the other one (who was the main instigator and sorta reminds me of Malfoy in retrospect, not from behavior only) went shortly afterwards. When I met the latter of them on the train four or five years later, I found myself delighted to see him and we chatted like old friends. The fact that especially Vernon remains very reserved gives you credibility and makes it realistic even to those who are not inclined to ponder the reasons behind this too much.
Albus as second name, eh? I constantly have to remind myself that this is a fic with a firm Light!Dumbledore. If you decide to get into the whole second name thing (it does seem awfully common throughout the books), Arthur is actually a pretty good choice in my book.

Abraxan replied:
Twins are genetically capable of having twins, and those from families with twins are also genetically capable of having twins. So I liked the idea and went with it, so what? If you read canon and JKR's notes (check the Lexicon if you don't believe me - read the Weasley article, I think it's there), you'll see that Ginny is the first girl in many, many generations of Weasleys. So the fact that all the Weasley boys had only boys is normal FOR THEIR FAMILY. The male contribution, after all, determines the gender of the baby. And families that have identical twins, when there are more twins, they're normally identical - they have a predisposition for dividing eggs (identical twins), as opposed to multiple eggs being fertilized (fraternal twins). Of course I know my basic genetics, but this is a *fantasy* story - I can write them marrying fairies and having half-fairy babies if I want to, y'know? Sheesh.
I'm glad you've had enough life experience to understand the change in the Dursleys. I'm old enough to know that such changes do happen.
What's wrong with middle names? Most Americans have them, and many Brits have several! And nothing's wrong with giving a child his ancestor's name. If you read my Christmas story, you'd see Harry and Ginny also have a son named "Brian," also named after Dumbledore -- they LOVE him, so why not honor him that way? And why would you have to REMIND yourself I'm writing Dumbledore as a good guy? I've never given him a hint of darkness! *sigh* I'll be glad when you stop being so arrogant in your reviews. I don't see why you have such a "superior" attitude about my fics. If you don't like them, PLEASE read something else! grrrrrrr

As much as I love your story and how it has ended, a part of me is saddened that the journey is so nearly over. I sincerley hope that you will write yet another awesome story. It is rare for an author to be able to capture the cannon characters so beautifully as well as have engagin original characters that enhance, rather than detract for the story. You, my dear author, are truly talented!
Abraxan replied:
Thank you so much! That's very kind of you! Yes, I'm saddened too, but I'm enjoying getting into my OWN fantasy novel -- it's such fun creating new characters and a new world! But I'll miss Harry and his friends too. Thanks so much for writing!

wow!
so it's really hermione who wrote all these books and not Jo! lol
or maybe Jo's hermoine with a whole bunch of glamour charms to make her look different!
or maybe Jo is someone Hermoine hired to act like she wrote the books! lol
great work once again, Abraxan.
And best of luck with your novel, not that you need it ;)
Abraxan replied:
Yup, I think it's Hermione with a glamor charm or else that they hired an actress (heaven knows they can afford it!!) to portray her, LOL! Glad you liked it! And thanks for your good wishes for my novel!
Thanks for writing!

Nice. And I am glad to see you didnt go with the stupid american name for the first book.
Abraxan replied:
Well, being a "stupid American" I would have wondered what a Philosopher's Stone was, but being an "intelligent American," I would have figured it out from the book - and since this is supposed to be JKR talking about her original novels, it had to be PS not SS (Hermione is, after all, British, LOL!) Glad you liked it! Thanks for the standing ovation!!

Great epilogue. I had hoped you would allow Harry to see the Dursleys once more, and that they would have changed. Dudley didn't have a lot to say though. Neither did Vernon. I had hoped Dudley might act as if he was related to Harry. Oh well. At least they've all seemed to have changed. OMG!!! SO MANY TWINS!!!! Whatever will Snape do? Why do I see them encouraging Peeves to cause even more chaos than he already does? Maybe even becoming friendly with the poltergeist. With so many twins around, no one will know who to blame. LOL Thanks for a wonderful ending. I look forward to the final epilogue.
Abraxan replied:
I don't see Dudley EVER acting as if he's related to Harry, but curiosity will keep him coming back for family holidays whenever he's invited. He might even learn some manners at some point! LOL! Yes, SO MANY TWINS! I laughed when I thought of Snape's reaction to all these redheads, along with not one but TWO Harry Potter clones (minus the scar and glasses) in his class!! LOL! Glad you liked that! Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for writing!

your "original novel" Abraxan?
I'm all ears. is it something you're working on on this site or somewhere else?
Abraxan replied:
If it's an "original novel meant for real-life publication" it isn't going to be online - it will involve a contract with a publisher and the felling of trees and advertising and reviews and a book tour (when I dream, I dream BIG!!) and book signings. . . . ;-D I'm working on it now, and am over 100 pages in at this point. It will include some of the original ideas I came up with for these fics (Merlin as a phoenix, although in my novel, he can also be a man for some length of time each day; wandless magic; Casey will be a character since so many people mourned her death; etc.) It's a "hero quest" novel intended to be the first of a series - 3 to 7 books, hopefully. I already know the ending of the last book and the ending of THIS book -- I just have to get there in a stylish fashion!! ;-D I'll post ordering info here and on all the other sites that host my stories when (not *if*) it's published!!
The series is called "Star Sons" and the working title for the first book is "Star Sons: Children of Destiny" - but that's subject to change.
Thanks for asking!

Great ending. I love this story. Thank you for writing it. And I especially appreciate the way you update when you say you will. You are one of the few. There are so many good stories but life and work, etc., get in the way of writing fan fiction. There are a lot of stories that I have been waiting months for updates. I really, really appreciate your style. I am looking forward to the epilogues. Thank you so much and keep me updated about your plans for another HP story.
